The last time we checked in I was just back from vacation and not minding so much that I had gained a pound or two after eating delicious New York food. I had plans to keep exercising regularly and then my foot started hurting. I thought maybe I had pulled a muscle after all of the hiking in New York, but it didn't seem to be healing up after 10 days. I headed to the doctor, and they took an X-ray which showed it was fine. Thank goodness! But, I was told to stay out of heels and not exercise for at least a few more days just in case.
I was kind of pissed and frustrated at the same time because walking is my main source of exercise. I had to forgo a pair of fancy heels for a fashion party, too, which is never fun. Fast forward about two weeks and my foot is generally feeling better. I realized last night exactly how long it had been between walking or Netflix workout DVDs. So, I need to get back into the swing of things. Tonight will probably be walking even with the dreaded end of daylight savings time. My eating hasn't been so bad, but I have had a bit more alcohol lately due to parties and celebrations.
My new idea is to try and create a little motivation post-it set for the house. I am going to write my goal weight on each one and then pull off the top when I get where I want to. I will write and draw fun things in the hope that the anticipation and the reward will keep me positive. I hope it works out and I will try and show you guys what it looks like when it's done.
