So, I wore this great new skirt over the weekend but totally forgot to take pictures. I had to wear it to work because I wasn't sure if I could make it professional as well as casual. I think it worked really well with this little cream shell and blue sweater. I wore sandals for the first time because the weather seems to be sooo hot. I also managed to forget any accessories besides my wedding band because I pretty much rushed out the door.
I am so proud of this skirt because it's the first skirt or piece of clothing at all that I put a zipper into. I took another sewing class at Sew Sew Darling and really enjoyed it. I got a closeup of the dotted pattern with the light blue and a pretty red and cream. I plan to wear it a bunch now that it's warm and hopefully into fall with boots.
It wasn't the easiest project because the fabric stretched out a bit. I had to take four inches off the sides, adding 1.5 hours total to the project. Thank you again to Carolyn who helped me and stayed late while I finished up. I am thinking about trying a jersey maxi dress next, but I will have to wait until things at work quiet down. Right now, all I want to do on weekends is train for my 10k and relax!
