I have been dying to wear this outfit combination since the Texas Style Council, but the weather turned crazy cold and rainy. The last thing I wanted to wear while it was in the 50 degree range was bare legs, sandals and a creamy cotton dress. Not to be put off, I kept the idea in the back of my head until I finally scored some nice weather.
For some weird reason, we got a cold front in April in New Orleans which results in a high yesterday of only 70 something. It was perfect for my bare legs and sandals. I added jade earrings and a copper necklace from my Mom, a bracelet from my grandmother, a free bracelet (but I can't remember from whom), and my bug pin. I originally wasn't sporting the bug pin but realized at lunch it was much needed to dial the overall sweetness down.
I spent the day helping the husband shop for work clothes, eating fried shrimp, hanging with family at the Fly by the river and watching Star Trek Voyager with my husband. It's good to nerd out sometimes.

This is the only dress/denim jacket combination that has ever made me want a denim jacket. I love this and the accessories are absolutely perfect.
